Exclamation Login problems solved here

Thought I'd just give this information a bit more visibility as I get a fair number of people sending me emails having problems with logging into the forums.

1. Make sure you're always on VolvoXC.com, not one of the other domains the website is hosted through, such as xc70.com or teamxc.com. Your login is only valid for the primary domain, and you will not be able to post through one of the others.
--------------------------------

2. Try deleting the cookies associated with this domain at:
http://www.volvoxc.com/forums/mycookies.php

Select all in the list and hit the Delete My Cookies button. If no cookies show in the list you first load the page, you may have a cookie problem or security problems specific to your computer.
--------------------------------

3. If that fails, try a different browser if you have one installed on the computer. Here are a couple links if you'd like to try something new:
--------------------------------

If your login problems continue, please post to this thread and we'll try to work it out. FYI, you don't need to be logged in to post in the help and testing forum.

Default Have to login each time to view each picture link

Hello,
If I am viewing a post wherein someone has linked pictures, when I click on a picture link I am directed to login, even if I have already logged in. Note, I always select "remember my login".

This occurs with both IE and Firefox 2.0.

This does not occur if a photo is put in line in the body of the post.
Thanks for any help.
Ken

Where abouts are the pics hosted, on this site or elsewhere? Sounds like this is a problem where the images are being linked to from another server that does not allow off-site linking.

Hope that helps!

Perhaps you misunderstood me.

I am referring not to my posting pictures.

I am referring simply to browsing this board, and reading, for example, someone's post that may include two linked photos. If I click on the first link, I am directed to the “You are not logged in” screen. If I log in by typing my user name and password on that screen, I can view the first photo. If I hit the "back" button to go back to the post, and then click on the second photo, I am yet again directed to the “You are not logged in” screen. If I AGAIN log in by typing my user name and password on that screen, I can view the second photo.

Just now, I tried to answer a question added to one of the boards. I hit reply, then was directed to the “You are not logged in” screen. So I logged in, typed my detailed reply, hit "submit reply", and was AGAIN directed to the “You are not logged in” screen.

I use Firefox, but this also occurs using Internet Explorer.

I generally use my work computer. Could this be a network setting problem?

Thanks.

Did you ever get this problem resolved? I recently upgraded to Firefox 3 and am now experiencing an inability to logon.

Default "You are not logged in...."

Experienced the exact same problem - had to clear cookies and reset password.
